How to get there?:
We are located 2 hours from the Liberia International Airport and 4 hours from Juan Santamaría International Airport. You can fly to Carrillo Beach from San José on Sansa Airlines (506) 290-4100 www.flysansa.com which lands at an airfield next to the beach.
From the Liberia International Airport:
You can rent a car at the airport and take the road to Santa Cruz. Drive through Santa Cruz towards Nicoya. Once in downtown Nicoya, find the sign to Samara Beach. On the road to Samara you will see signs to Carrillo Beach.
From Juan Santamaría Internacional Airport:
You can also rent a car and travel through a very scenic and totally paved highway. You take the Inter-American Highway # 1 via Palmares, San Ramon, Esparza, towards Puntarenas. You pass the exit to Puntarenas and continue until you see the sign to Tempisque. You will see a Shell Gas Station on your left, turn left and drive towards Nicoya. You will cross the new Tempisque Bridge (Puente de la Amistad de Taiwan) and continue driving following the signs to Nicoya. Once in downtown Nicoya, find the sign to Samara Beach. On the road to Samara you will see signs to Carrillo Beach.
